A lot of work is usually involved.

There is a lot of hard work, especially in the morning. Every day we have a special department for cleaning and about 30 tanks for scrubbing, vacuuming etc. For example, every Wednesday in our shop we cleanse all reptile habitats (including the turtle pool … one of the worst).

Depending on how fast you are, about 3 to 5 hours of work and cleaning the aquariums 36-68. And of course we always do maintenance; Eliminate fish, clean grills, clean our back rooms, maintain customer service, observe wildlife, clean food etc every day.

Oh, and customers expect you to be an expert on every one of them we sell, so you need to research your own time to meet their expectations (how would you look like an animal keeper with no knowledge of pets?)

This job is not for everyone, in the short time I’m here, I have seen so many people coming and going because they are excited to work with animals, but are rejected from work. But now for the goodies!

They work with every animal in the industry and gain the knowledge and experience of exotic animals that you would never have been able to do in other retail jobs. The most of them that I really like especially, when there is not a lot to do, especially like the bearded dragons and also ball pythons.

There is a lot of unity among co-workers.

Petsmart Pet For a few numbers of people staying in your department, everyone comes really close to utilize every moment communicating with each other. (Maybe it’s just in my business, but our domestic animal care team is very close and we usually have lunch together, eat on post mates or over-the-counter food, buy snacks from local shops, etc., to create a fun environment ).

They can be a great source of information to enlighten people who want to own pets and inform them of the best ways to give the good care of these animals without making routine mistakes. However, anyone who rejects reason can refuse to sell.

Yesterday I only rejected three different people because they did not have the right attitude. You wanted to buy Koi for his fishbowl (really – this poor fish could not even fit in if you wanted to put it in!).

Another group of high school boys tried to buy feeders for a 2 gallon tank (um, no) and the third one was a woman was really in need of a hamster though, and reveals that her girl was the one who was responsible for the death of the last one when she did so by stepping on it, so she wanted to replace her.

You can tell these people freely what I fall for because I could not stomach it if I am compelled to sell one for money.

All through this kind of work is appealing to me and I enjoy working every time. Most customers are relaxed and it’s fun to chat with them, but you’ll get some psycho-ones (that’s another story).

The work is hard and intense, and you’ll definitely need some muscle power, lol, but it’s rewarding and you’ll never be bored because there’s always something that can be done. Good luck!

Conclusion

In conclusion, after reading this post, I strongly believe that you can imagine the good job that they are doing in the PetSmart pet care Association.
